Dear Kids - A letter to my children

Dear kids,

I love you but....

Could you stop throwing the metal car repeatedly against the wall?

My patience is running a little thin with the whole 'I'm bored' thing. We have just been at the beach for three hours followed by ice creams and a game of football with your friends. So cut me some slack ok?

No you are not hungry, you're bored. See above.

I don't care whose fault it was. You're all in trouble.

When I say 'Do you want to watch a movie?' I'm really saying 'I need a break from your incessant whining'. So just say yes, ok?

Please stop the incessant whining.

When I leave the room do you have to push \ pull \ bite each other?

I'm sick of listening to me giving out too.

You have been on holidays for 724 hours. We have another 782 to go. They will not all be filled with activities.

Wash your hands.

Substituting the phrase 'the f word' for a bad word does not make it any better. We all know what you mean, so just stop it for f words sake.

Please smile, it's really not that bad.

(But then again it might just be when you are the parent.)

Your loving, but slightly frazzled, Mum.

Know how you feel.
